Adversity is a natural part of human nature. Adversity means misfortune, a troubling situation or hardship. Anyone can have it, regardless of their identity or life path choice. There are few adversity that you may encounter in your lifetime: Self-doubt; Physical injuries or illness, Rejection, Poverty, Losing a loved ones, Struggling to succeed in your selected career etc.

Take my example here that I had self doubt about myself many times like, What has led me to be this way? Why am I struggling to accomplish things effectively? What’s preventing me from making progress? I sometimes feel what is stopping me to achieve success in my life and what things people do different from me that they achieve success in their life and many more questions…… but when the opportunity comes I put my best effort to overcome it.

Overcoming and potentially thriving in adversity isn’t out of reach for anyone.

Are you facing any kind of adversity and want to overcome it, so here I am sharing few points with you all to help you:

  1. Stop Making Excuses:  Excuses allow you to shift blame and deny your own role in your current situation. Try to identify underlying reasons behind it. Try to overcome the hurdle you are facing. Look at the problem you are facing from different angle, sometimes the solution is not so apparent. You can even ask help from others.
  2. Stay Focused: Getting what you wants in life is all about focus.  Try to divide your task and focus on one thing at one time, don’t try doing things all by once.
  3. Work on your Skills and Set Goals: Set your goals what you actually wants in life, and work hard for it.  If you think that you are not getting results that satisfies you then try improving your skills, gain more knowledge and apply it on your task, Even if you fail you will gain experience from it and next time you will do better.
  4. Take Time to Take Care of Yourself: Don’t forget to give yourself rest, pamper yourself. Do some recreational activities that gives you joy and peace. Do physical activities also. I do Mandala drawings and sometime dance which gives me joy and make me more focused on my work.
  5. Surround Yourself with Positive People: This points I have shared many times, because its important to get away from negativity. The more you get negativity, more you will get pushed away from your success. Be Positive mentally and physically as well as have positive environment and people around you. In this current environment filled with toxicity, we often experience irritation, frustration, and exhaustion, leaving us questioning why these situations persist. To counter this, surrounding ourselves with positivity becomes essential.
  6. Let Each Success Energize You: Whether big or small, take some time to acknowledge your accomplishments as they happen. In doing so, you can see how far you’ve come and help build up your self-confidence and self-esteem so you can get past whatever adversity you’re currently facing.

Remember, Overcoming Adversity is a process & everyone’s journey is unique. Be patient with yourself, celebrate progress & continue to cultivate the inner strength needed to face life’s challenges.
